by Robert a. Miller (Author)

What if the problem isn't that you're thirsty? What if it's where you've been drinking?

We spend much of our lives believing the next thing will finally be enough. The next accomplishment. The next relationship. The next promotion. The next experience. The next season of life.

And sometimes those things are good. They may even satisfy us for a while. But eventually the excitement fades, the achievement becomes ordinary, and we find ourselves thirsty again.

In Wells With No Water, Robert shares an intensely personal journey through ambition, military service, marriage, ministry, disappointment, church hurt, spiritual exhaustion, and his own years of running from God. From the deserts of Utah to a battlefield in Afghanistan, from villages in Africa and India to painful lessons learned inside American churches, his story keeps returning to the same discovery:

Some things were never meant to carry the weight of our souls.

Drawing from Jeremiah's picture of broken cisterns and Jesus' promise of Living Water, Wells With No Water challenges us to examine the places we keep returning to for identity, happiness, security, approval, and purpose.

This isn't a book about giving up everything you enjoy. It's about discovering why none of those things can take the place of Christ.

If you've ever achieved what you thought would make you happy only to wonder, Is this it? If you've been hurt by people you trusted, exhausted from trying to hold everything together, disappointed with God, or simply aware that something in your life is still missing, this book is for you.

You don't have to pretend you're not thirsty. The Fountain is still flowing. Come and drink.
