The serious minded person is introspective and seeks the greatest meaning and fulfillment possible from life. The man or woman who follows Jesus Christ in effect seeks and desires everything because everything has been promised. Yet, humanity, and even the strongest Christians, have often been tormented by self doubts as to whether they truly are what they hope and claim to be. This book examines the question with the added backdrop of the development of Christ's Church through the ages.
