He taught us how to hunt, how to weave, how to build, and how to farm. He taught our first kings the ways of the Gods and how we are to live good lives while here on earth, and from this came the law. This was known as the finrúnar, the \"Runes of Earthly Life,\" which combines both our rituals and our legal institutions. So that the rites could retain their unique status within the religion, we decided to title this work finlǫgr \"Laws of Earthly Life,\" maintaining the connection to the original concept. \u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003c\/p\u003eThis book is an attempt to reconstruct the ancient Teutonic law, by examining every legal text contained within the records, looking for commonalities within each code and within our lore, then developing a code we can follow today. This is yet another part of the chain, the next link in reforging our connection to our ancestral tradition.
