Fill your mind with Scripture while you are calm enough to remember it. Learn what God says about His character, your identity in Christ, temptation, forgiveness, and hope.
Do not wait for the battle to discover your armor. Daily habits of truth prepare the mind to recognize lies under pressure.
Picture the Word
Imagine an open Bible beside simple pieces of ancient armor in morning light. A thoughtful young believer prepares quietly, fastening each piece before the distant storm reaches the horizon.
Deeper in the Word
Paul commands believers to stand in God’s strength, not their own. The armor describes gifts rooted in God’s character and saving work: truth, righteousness, peace, faith, salvation, Scripture, and prayer.
Jesus answered temptation in the wilderness with Scripture understood in loyal submission to His Father. Truth was not a slogan but the framework of His allegiance.
Psalm 119 connects storing God’s Word in the heart with resisting sin. Preparation includes memorization, reflection, and practiced obedience.

In The Great Controversy, chapter 37, “The Scriptures a Safeguard,” Ellen G. White emphasizes Scripture as the believer’s protection against deception. Read with Ephesians 6, truth must be known before crisis tests our discernment.
